What is the Kneipp method?
The Kneipp method is a holistic discipline useful for improving blood circulation in the limbs and reducing stress, for decreasing sleep disturbances and varicose veins.
Kneipp a natural therapy
Il metodo Kneipp è una cura naturale che nasce nella prima metà del XIX secolo da un’idea del parroco
The Kneipp method is a natural cure that was born in the first half of the 19th century from an idea of the German parish priest Sebastian Kneipp. The doctrine is based on naturopathy, where in a holistic vision: body, soul and spirit are a single complicated identity. Basically the purpose is to strengthen the whole organism by activating what are the “self-healing energies of the body”. These energies are activated to cure a disease but also to prevent it, a sort of strong internal balance that creates a shield against the negativities that are encountered in everyday life.
The 5 principles of Kneipp method
According to the Kneipp method, 5 are the fundamental therapeutic pillars:
- Hydrotherapy
- Phytotherapy
- Nutrition
- Movement
- Order in the lifestyle
Sebastian Kneipp has tested on himself this technique.
Kneipp products
The first principle on which the Kneipp method is based is hydrotherapy. The water and its strength, in a particular alternation between hot and cold at constant rates, with jets, frictions, bandages and baths. The hot and cold stimuli tone the blood vessels and regulate the activity of the internal organs. In this hydrotherapy program, the powers of phytotherapy are also combined. Particular products for bathrooms, frictions and foot baths combine with the power of water. The kneipp method is valid for those who need to relax, sleep well and reactivate the circulation and to prevent the formation of varicose veins. Soaps, creams and oils must be of natural and organic origin, must not contain preservatives and must not be tested on animals. Rigor and ethical spirit in research, a mantra for those who firmly believe in the strength and power of nature and in all its facets.
Kneipp method in Spas
The Kneipp path is a “path” in water, where the alternation of temperature between hot and cold and the light massage of its splashes caress our body. A pampering that can be completely personal, designed for a therapy aimed at stimulating the inside of our body, strengthening the cardiovascular system and improving the drainage of liquids, removing that annoying symptom of heaviness in the limbs. A path that connects the body to the mind, the spirit to the soul.
